North Cheshire Cruisers (01.10.06)
Apparently the oldest cruising club in Britain (that's canal cruising) is the North Cheshire Cruising Club which was a discovery I made this afternoon whilst on a walk along a stretch of the Middlewood Way.
This particular section takes you along the Macclesfield Canal and below are a few photos taken during the stroll.
Narrowboats moored at Higher Poynton.
A couple of cruisers..
and two more cruisers...
Narrowboats from as far afield as Brantoms Wharf, Leighton Buzzard...
to the more local town of Ramsbottom.
Some scenes from the canal bank
Cottages between Higher Poynton and Adlington
Kate on a bridge.
The above photos were taken using the Panasonic DMC-FZ50EB-K
.
