The November Late Late Late Shows (04, 25 & 29 Nov)

Remarkably, Ipswich Town's last three away matches have all ended in defeat by the odd goal and the odd thing about each of the three winners is that each was conceded in injury-time.

90+1

The first of the sequence took place on Saturday 4 November in Burnley, which also coincided with the fifth Annual General Meeting of the Ipswich Town North of England Supporters Branch.

Below is a photo taken of a few of the Branch members standing outside the
Oaks Hotel post-AGM and pre-match.

A snap-shot of what little action there was to be had at Turf Moor

Final score was Burnley 1-0 Ipswich

90+2

The second came at Barnsley on Saturday 25 November.

Fortunately there are no photos of the injury time defeat at Oakwell.

Final score was Barnsley 1-0 Ipswich

90+3

The hat-trick of injury-time defeats took place last night in Derby.

The additional frustration from this defeat was that Ipswich Town took the lead at Pride Park and after conceding the equaliser had a man sent off.

A couple of photos below were taken prior to Ipswich Town free-kicks around the Derby County penalty area:

Final score Derby 2-1 Ipswich.

Santa arrives 54 days too early (01.11.06)

Hours after the passing of Halloween with candles in the Jack-o'-lanterns still flickering and four days before Bonfire Night, our man with the white beard, Santa Claus has decided to show his face at Manchester Town Hall.

If he hangs about until the New Year he'll be up there nine weeks and given his chosen location, may end up receiving a council tax demand.

(No doubt the cries of "Bar Humbug" are sounding out from around the www).

Interview with a Lawyer [or 6] (28/29.10.06)

Isabel was proposing to form a new law firm 'IFC Law' and had vacancies in the departments of Corporate, Employment, Commercial Property, Corporate Tax and Family. She set aside the weekend of 28th/29th October to undertake her interviews and first up at 11am on the 28th was Family lawyer Louise accompanied by her two assistants William and Elizabeth.

Isabel is not afraid to appear rude by sleeping through the interview process.

Elizabeth & Louise query whether it was something they said. William is unimpressed.

William takes Isabel to one side, but still no success at waking the interviewer.

A signing-off shot by the Family lawyer and her two young assistants, flanked by Jon, Kate and Isabel.

Next to arrive for afternoon interviews were Ali and Jon (with assistant Archie) applying for positions in the Employment and Corporate Departments respectively.

Jon points out why he's the man to head Corporate.

Assistant Archie attempts to protect his client from Isabel's over keen fans.

A parting shot with Ali, Jon, Archie, Jon, Isabel and Kate.

The following afternoon it was the turn of the Corporate Tax and Commercial Property lawyers to impress.

Kate and Gisella discuss tactics whilst nervously waiting to be called for their interviews.

Kate shows Isabel the size of her biggest deal.

Peter and Jenny prepare to toast the succesful candidate(s). Isabel seeks reaction from her interviewees by wearing a monkey suit. (you don't see that very often!)

After a weekend of intense interviews, a final group shot of Peter, Gisella, Jon, Kate, Isabel and Jenny.

Acceptance and rejection letters will be posted to the (un)successful candidates shortly.

[Credit for the interviewer's wardrobe goes to Auntie Abi for supplying the monkey suit. Abi is also thanked for providing the teddy bear (modelled above by Peter)]
